Family Advocacy Services helps individuals and families throughout Utah access therapy and treatment through scholarship funding. We welcome referrals from courts, professionals, caregivers, and community partners seeking support for someone in need.

How referrals work
A respectful, organized pathway to scholarship support
Our referral pathway helps eligible individuals and families connect with qualified providers through scholarship support.
We make the process clear, supportive, and centered on helping people access care through responsible scholarship funding.
Submit referral
Share the individual or family’s contact information, referral source, any court context, and other background that helps us understand the need for funding support.
Review eligibility
We review the referral to determine whether scholarship support may be appropriate based on circumstances, urgency, and available funding.
Connect to care
If approved, we help connect the individual or family with a qualified provider and explain next steps for beginning services.
Fund services
Scholarship funds are used to help cover therapy or treatment services delivered by qualified providers, with attention to court-informed needs when applicable.
Requirements
What to include
A complete referral helps our team review funding needs efficiently and determine the best next step for the individual or family.
Referral details
Include the name of the referring person or agency, contact information, and a brief explanation of why scholarship support is being requested.
Family information
Share the names of involved individuals or family members, current caregiving arrangements if relevant, and the safest way to reach them.
Court context
When applicable, include court orders, case expectations, timelines, or documentation that helps clarify the context for care and funding support.
Practical barriers
Let us know about urgent needs, safety considerations, language needs, transportation issues, or financial barriers that may affect access to care.
